This Conference Pricing page should give you a summary of all the different elements of the cost of the conference, and options available for you to register for when you sign up to attend the conference.

Getting Ready to Take the Website Live

11/24 – As everyone is getting ready to make their Turkeys for Thanksgiving in the US, the 22Q Conference Web Team is working on the finishing touches for the conference website. The site is scheduled to officially launch by 11/30/2011 with registration forms, etc. However, the majority of the content is currently up and running for you to explore and learn about the exciting conference we have planned for everyone.

Planning Trip to Disney World

August 8 to August 10, 2011

A team from the International 22q11.2 Foundation made a trip to Disney World. During the visit we worked on the conference program, menu planning, facilities planning, and overall conference logistics.

We stayed at the Headquarter Hotel – The Disney Yacht Club Resort and the rooms very nice with great amenities. This author was pleasantly surprised as we drove up to the hotel to have someone help us out of the car and escorted us to the check in area and made sure everything was in order. We got there early, but they provided us with our keys and all our check in materials, and when our room was ready we got a text message letting us know we could go up to our room.

The staff was amazing … Disney Service all the way! We watched as a child, who got separated from his parents, was befriended by a Disney Cast Member and that cast member entertained the child until Mom and Dad were found. It was great to see someone making sure even during a tense time that this young boy was kept happy and smiling. Great job Disney!

What we learned is that Disney will help the foundation put together a great conference at a wonderful location. Can’t wait to see you there.
